What is a Coincidence?

AMERICA BEING THRASHED/WARNED:
In hindsight, the past 10 years has produced more natural disasters than   any time in America’s history. You can call this coincidence, or you can  look at it deeper, as if God is watching America very closely –and grading her   on how she treats the nation of Israel, and the land he promised to    the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  

Can it be that God is not amused, when U.S. Presidents like Carter, Reagen, George Bush, Senior, Clinton, and now George W. Bush meet  to divide up Israel? A Palestinian State within Israel, the “apple of God’s eye”? Land for peace? Jerusalem divided?

Are you skeptical? How about 88 tornadoes in 48 hours, or 412 tornadoes in 10 days? The list of all the natural disasters is very long, and quite bizarre.  Never forget America: God has promised to bless those that bless Israel, and to curse those that curse Israel (Genesis 12:3).  Do we bless Israel by pressuring her to give up what she cannot give up?

In early 1993, Bill Clinton, Yasser Arafat, and Yitzhak Rabin began intense negotiations on creating a Palestinian state. Shortly after, the World Trade Center was first bombed, then the storm of the century (with tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, heavy snows) arrived in America on March 12. Remember, chimneys on homes could be seen just above the water in St. Louis. The day before Yasser Arafat planned to declare a Palestinian state  in May 1999, the largest tornado in Oklahoma history, and the highest  speed in U.S. history (318 m.p.h. winds) touched down in Oklahoma.

In recent months things even got more ominous, except for followers of Jesus. America has been joined with Russia, the European Union, and the U.N., all wanting Israel to give up land. All are on a collision course with Almighty God.

Add all this with the Russians and Europeans conspiring to give Iran a nuclear bomb, capable of annihilating tiny Israel – things are certainly   getting more interesting.

Also, let's not forget, that tiny Israel is the West's first line of defense (the Forward Area) against the legends of twisted fanatics in the middle east.

What's the Obvious Solution?

American blacks should be made aware what is happening to them.  More black babies have been aborted than have ever died in the U.S.  In 1996, the most recent year for which abortion statistics are available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there were approximately 1,221,585 abortions performed in the United States.  Since 1973, approx 13 million black babies have been killed by abortion.   Also since Since 1973, abortion has reduced the black population by over 25 percent.  Twice as many African-Americans have died from abortion than have died from AIDS, accidents, violent crimes, cancer, and heart disease combined. Planned Parenthood operates the nation's largest chain (nearly nearly 850 death centers) of abortion clinics and almost 80 percent of its facilities are located in minority neighborhoods.

Is the Supreme Court always right?  The Dred Scott decision of 1857 upheld slavery as legal. It decreed that black people are the private property of the slave owners. This was a grave error of the Supreme Court, denying African Americans one of their most fundamental human rights — the right to liberty. In Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court erred again by denying a whole class of human beings (preborn babies) the most fundamental right — the right to life.

 

Did you know that Margaret Sanger, the 1921 founder of the American Birth Control League, the forerunner of the Planned Parenthood (1942) worked closely with W.E.B. Du Bois on his "Negro Project," an effort to expose Southern black women to birth control.  Margaret Sanger also wrote many articles sympathetic to eugenics, some in Socialist papers.

NEWS about Breast Cancer:
 

If you have had an abortion while you were in a non-life threatening (yours) situation - and you later developed breast cancer - you may want to look into suing your abortion doctor. 

 

Breast cancer kills more women in the 40 - 59 year age group than just about anything else.  Breast cancer in woman has dramatically increased right alongside abortion since 1972.  In 1962 there were 63,000 cases.  In 1972 that jumped to 90,000 cases of breast cancer detected.  And in 2002 there were an estimated 203,500 cases. 

 

A link between much higher numbers of breast cancer in those women who have also had abortions has been well known and studied since the early 1990's.  The earliest abortion/breast cancer correlation we know of was reported in a 1957 study.  Evidence for this abortion/breast cancer link began mounting in the 1970's - 1980's.  Yet abortion doctors usually chose to either ignore this, or "hide it   under the rug".

 

There have been at least 37 studies on this breast cancer / abortion link.  More than 75% of these studies (28) show that abortion is a risk factor. 

 

This increase risk in breast cancer may have something to do with the body's normal release of increased estrogen during pregnancy suddenly being interfered with in abortion.

The European Union (EU) today is made up of over 25 countries, however the ten nations of the Western European Alliance have a separate status as full members, while those nations who joined subsequent to the original 10 have only associate membership, or observer status.  This 10 nation military wing of the EU may very well fulfill the prophecy of the beast with 10 horns from Daniel 7:7-8 and Revelations 13:1.  On this beast’s back will ride the woman that symbolizes a global religious system that is to appear before Christ returns to set up His kingdom. Today, the EU does encompass the old Roman Empire. 

Also, in another stamp the symbol of a naked woman riding on the back of a beast depiction of the harlot woman was reproduced on the centenary stamp of the European Union, in a huge painting in the EU Parliament's new building in Brussels, and by a huge sculpture outside the new E.U. Council of Ministers Office in Brussels. The new European coinage, the Euro, bears the same insignia.   One EU poster shows the people of Europe rebuilding the Tower of Babel. The text on the poster says, “Europe: Many Tongues – One Voice.” The stars on the poster are inverted into pentagrams, a recognized occult sign. 

A massive "space age" Crystal Palace tower (officially called the Tower Building) houses the Fifth Parliament of Europe. The 679 seats of its massive hemicycle are designed like the crew seats in the Star Trek space machines. While these seats are allocated to Members, one seat remains unallocated and unoccupied. The purpose of the EU’s creation was and is, ultimately, to create a European super-state or “United States of Europe”, as some have suggested naming it, that would eventually rival the United States in influence and military might.  In 1999, Javier Solana became the High Representative for the EU’s foreign and security policy, and through recommendation #666, he was given emergency powers over the military wing of the EU in 2000.  All that currently remains to create a truly revived Roman Empire is the creation of a permanent executive branch of government and the full integration of the new Euro currency.  With the introduction of the new EU constitution, the groundwork is being laid for just such an executive branch and economic system. 

Pope John Paul II worked very hard to get the European Union to include at least one reference to God in their Charter.  But European leaders would not listen.

APOSTASY in the CHURCHES

Regarding the second coming of Christ, Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.” 

The Greek word apostasia is used here for the “falling away.”  It is from this word that we derive the English word “apostasy.”  Apostasy is defined as “a defection from the truth,” or “a departing from that which was given at first.”   

We have reached a place in church history where Roman Catholics, reeling from lawsuits stemming from decades of latent homosexual priests abusing children - are  now weeding out homosexuals from their clergy.  On the other hand, mainline Protestants including Methodist, Episcopal, Presbyterian, and Anglican denominations are now welcoming homosexuals to their clergy in defiance of Scripture.  Christian ministers are also "marrying" homosexuals in defiance of God's design and holy Word. 

 

The Anglican Church in Canada is on the verge of a split over such an issue, as are the Methodists and Episcopalians in the United States.  In a recent conference in England, Anglican bishops voted to affirm the deity of Jesus Christ.  It is disturbing not only that such a vote is even necessary, but also because a significant percentage of bishops voted no! 

Sin is rooted in self-deception, and becomes its own judgment as “God gives them up” to their self-destructive practices.  And please remember dear brethren in the churches that are now in apostasy (regarding homosexual priests), Jesus spoke explicitly  about what would happen to those who taught against the law.

 

Rampant acceptance of the sin of homosexuality is a sign that the situation has gotten very bad, no less than those days related to us by the true stories of Sodom and Gomorrah and the Deuteronic story in Judges which is punctuated with the words:  “In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did what was right in his own eyes.”

Homosexuality is just as much a sin against Jesus and the Father as when a husband    or wife who goes out and commits adultery.  Weak liberal Clergy who accept this perversion in their churches are basically standing with Satan and turning their backs on Jesus and the Father.  These are refusing to obey the Word of God.

 

Within 5 decades we have returned to the unholy days of perversion, murder (babies) and rebellion (homosexuality) against God that existed prior to and during the time of Noah.  Doesn't history itself speak to us from Sodom, Rome, Greece, and Babylon?  The Lord does not favor countries who sink into hedonism and bestiality.

Homosexuality, like any other sin, can be forgiven through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.  But the Bible does call on Christians to speak the truth in love. In fact, staying silent on the destructive consequences of living a sinful lifestyle - no matter what the sin involved - is not a loving act, and it is contrary to the Christian call to be "salt and light."  There is hope, and through God's intervention; tens of thousands earnest people have already escaped from the destructive grip of  homosexual behavior.

A chemist who worked on testing of the Shroud of Turin says new analysis of the fiber indicates the cloth that some say was the burial linen of Jesus could be up to 3,000 years old.

The analysis, by a scientist who was on the original 1978 team that was allowed to study tiny pieces of the cloth, indicates the shroud is far older than the initial findings suggesting it was probably from medieval times, and will likely be seized on by those who believe it wrapped the body of Jesus after his crucifixion.

"I cannot disprove that this cloth was the burial shroud that was used on Jesus," Raymond N. Rogers, a retired chemist from the University of California-operated Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, said in a telephone interview Friday from his home.

"The chemistry says it was a real shroud, the blood spots on it are real blood, and the technology that was used to make that piece of cloth was exactly what Pliny the Elder reported fort his time," about 70 A.D., Rogers said, referring to the naturalist of ancient Roman times.

"It's a shroud from the right time, but you're never going to find out (through science) if it was used on a person named Jesus," said Rogers, whose findings were published recently in the scientific journal Thermochimica Acta.

Church Apostasy  - Women Priestesses
(Apostasy - is another sign of the Lord's imminent return)

What it comes down to is in the spiritual world; are marriages, communion and last rites valid---if a woman priest performed them?

Will someone who thinks they are married before God by a woman priestess find out they are living in sin? 

How certain can one be that a God who created all by His Word only--will be amused when we deliberately disregard His Word regarding His priests?

Remember, Jesus spoke explicitly about what would happen to those who taught against the law.

It is not a matter of being against women priests. It's a matter of it being impossible for a woman to become one. One of the requirements for the priesthood, which the Christian Church cannot change, is being a man. 

Unlike racial and ethnic factors, culture and social background - gender is an unalterable biological feature. “created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:27). Gender is the clearest distinction among human beings at the level of their human nature and the only one that is absolutely necessary to their existence through multiple generations.  No man can ever be a mother, no matter how much he wants to be one... and no woman can ever be a father. 

We rely on what Jesus instructed us to do by written and oral teaching. If the Church were to try to make a woman a priest, she still would not be one. It is not like a job, that all you need is the right talents for. It's a Sacrament. And Sacraments, the outward signs of God’s grace, have a Spiritual effect in both this world and the next. Are you willing to take that chance?

As hard as it is to take, the fact of the matter is that early Church Fathers rejected female ordination, not because it wasn’t compatible with Christian culture, but because they knew it was incompatible with Christian faith. This was believed by the apostles, and the early apostolic church without question. It was also believed in medieval times, and all the way up to the apostasy of churches breaking from this teaching in recent years.

The Church Fathers based this not only on the earliest Jewish and Christian traditions, but also by scriptural dictates.

The prohibition against women preaching can be found in 1 Timothy 2:12 (KJV):

"But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence”.

This prohibition is also found in 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 (KJV):

34:
"Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

35:
“And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church”.

Catholic Latin Vulgate, Douay-Rheims Bible, 1 Timothy 2:11-15:

While women could publicly pray and prophesy in church (1 Cor. 11:1–16), they could not teach or have authority over a man (1 Tim. 2:11–14), since these were two essential functions of the clergy. Nor could women publicly question or challenge the teaching of the clergy (1 Cor. 14:34–38).

During the days that the Lord taught in Israel, women were not allowed to speak in the synagogue. It is important to remember that Jesus was one who was not afraid to correct any impropriety in God's eyes. And Jesus was not afraid to establish something new. Remember, Jesus thoroughly trashed the hypocrisies of the Jewish religious establishment. Yet Jesus never spoke against this male only priesthood. Even though Mary Magdalene and other women were great followers of Jesus, He chose only men as his apostles. Nowhere in the Gospel do we find evidence of Jesus giving "orders" to women to baptize, to anoint the sick, to confect the holy Eucharist, or to  forgive sins as He did to the Apostles.

There have never been woman priests in the Church founded by Christ until recent times, because all Christians understood the scriptural prohibitions clearly.

There were priestesses in the pagan religions which abounded at the time of Christ. A few heretical sects in the first centuries, especially Gnostic ones, entrusted the exercise of the priestly ministry to women. This innovation was immediately noted and condemned by the Fathers who considered it as unacceptable in the Church. Of these Tertullian writes:

"And the heretical women themselves, how shameless are they! They make bold to teach, to debate, to work exorcisms, to undertake cures, and perhaps even to baptize. Their ordinations are casual, capricious, and changeable." (Demurrer Against the Heretics, 41,5-6, A.D. 200)

It is not a matter of women being equal to a man or not. We all know that in the eyes of God, all are equal. The Apostle Paul knew better then anybody in antiquity that male and female were equal in Christ Jesus. It was he, after all, who said, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus"  (Gal. 3:28). Paul saw nothing inferior about women's dignity.

There is a place for women in the Church, but no matter what she calls  herself, it cannot be a priest of Jesus Christ. Anybody can do pastoral, teaching, preaching, or administrative work. But that is not the essence of the priesthood.

The issue really is the nature of the Sacrament, just as it is the nature of following God's Word; no matter how mystical it may be.

What is a Sacrament? It is a thing that not only does what it symbolizes but symbolizes what it does.

In baptism the obvious symbol of cleansing, drowning, and new life is water, not wine. And so wine, for all its admirable qualities, is not the right "matter" for the Sacrament of baptism. Likewise water can never be the correct matter for communion, where wine symbolizes and actually becomes in a mystical way, the blood of Christ.

Remember, Christ is, as He himself teaches, the Bridegroom to the Church (the Bride) in the great eschatological marriage feast of the Kingdom. Gender has, in Christ's teaching, a real meaning and is not simply an accident of nature. And he ought to know, since he designed the human person and  made it a participant in the mystery of male and femaleness.

Should we dishonor the teachings of Jesus in the name of civil rights or political correctness. Will Jesus honor us if we allow His Words to be  ignored?

We already dishonor God by allowing homosexual priests who are living in sin, stand on the alter of God. Once God’s stated desire for male priests only is ignored, does anyone seriously think that it will be very long before a transsexual in drag honors us with its presence on the alter dedicated to Jesus?

There is nothing in the nature of the office of deacon that precludes women from serving. And, there is ample evidence from the Scriptures and early church history that women actually did serve as deacons.  But whether their function was that of a priest, abbess, or the pastoral care of women and the sick is unknown.  One such deaconess was Athanasia who lived in Delphi during the fifth century AD.  She was ordained by a Bishop Pantamianos. 

Athanasia's tomb stone carries a curse: "May anyone who disturbs the tomb in which this honored and blameless deaconess lies buried, receive the fate of Judas who betrayed our Lord Jesus Christ."

Fighting fundamental Islamic Terrorists with Pig Lard

It may sound medieval, but many are considering fighting the Muslim terrorist threat by hanging bags of pig lard on buses, in train stations, and in other public places.  Bullets tipped in pig lard have been used effectively in the past, and it may be what is needed now according to many in Israel. 

 

Muslim fundamentalists launched their suicide attacks against Israel and the U.S. with a firm belief that they will immediately go to a paradise populated by 72 black-eyed virgins. 

 

The "Catch-22" to a Muslim fundamentalist is that they firmly believe that if they touch anything from a pig at death, they are doomed forever. 

 

Imagine what would go through the thoughts of a suicide terrorist onboard a bus in Israel as he or she pushes the button on the bomb taped to his/her body, and then their gaze sees a bag of pig lard glued to the bus, just above the heads of  the innocent Jewish and Arab passengers.  I wonder how soon signs will begin appearing outside stores and clubs in the Mideast saying; "protected against swine with swine"?

Before World War I, U.S. General "Blackjack" Pershing put down an Islamic insurgent movement in the Philippines by having 50 captured Islamic fundamentalist terrorist tied to posts for execution by firing squad.  In full view of all 50, Pershing had his men slaughter two pigs.  Pershing's men next dipped their bullets in the pigs blood, making sure the horrified terrorists watched.  Blackjack's men shot 49 of these terrorists, dumped their bodies in a common grave and covered them with pig parts.  The 50th terrorist was let go.

After this, it took 42 more years before there was another serious Islamic terrorist incident in the Philippines.

Rebuilding of Jewish Temple Miraculously Halted

While Cyril was Bishop of Jerusalem, the apostate emperor Julian resolved to defy the words of Our Lord (Luke 21:6) by rebuilding the ancient temple of Jerusalem. He employed  the power and resources of a Roman emperor; the Jews thronged enthusiastically to him and gave munificently. But Cyril was unmoved.  Relying on the infallible truth of the scripture prophecies: as, that the desolation of the Jewish Temple should last till the end; and that one stone should not be left on another, Cyril wrote:

 “The word of God abides,” he said; “one stone shall not be laid on another.” 

The Jews of both sexes bore a share in the labor of rebuilding the Temple. Women helping to dig the ground carried out the rubbish in their aprons and skirts of their gowns.  At this time, the Temple foundations and some ruins of the walls of the Temple still stood.  Both Cyril and Eusebius say the inhabitants carried away the foundation and ruins stones for their private buildings. These ruins the Jews first demolished with their own hands, thus concurring with Jesus's prophecy. Then many thousands of Jews began to dig the new foundation. When the Jews tried to rebuild the Temple, history records that the combination of an earthquake in Jerusalem, Julian's death, and opposition from the rabbis (who were now the Jews' spiritual leaders in place of the former temple priesthood) put an end to the project shortly after work on it had begun. 

Other reports by both Church Historian Sozomen in 439 A.D. and a pagan writer named Ammianus tells us that horrible flames came forth from the earth, rendering the place inaccessible to the scorched  and frightened workmen. The attempt was made again and again, and then abandoned in despair. Soon after, the emperor perished miserably in a war against the Persians, and the Church had rest. 

In addition to earthquakes and fiery eruptions, Christian writers tell us the Temple Mount was engulfed in storms, tempests, and whirlwinds, lightning, crosses impressed on the bodies and garments of the assistants, and a flaming cross in the heavens, surrounded with a luminous circle.

Bishop Cyril died in peace in 386, leaving behind his Catechetical Lectures (systematic teaching of the Church on the Creed and Sacraments), which are a precious monument of Christian antiquity.  He lived to see the suppression and condemnation of Arianism at the end of his life.

Gary Steadman at "Prophecy in the News" wrote: Astronomers discovered an amazing object in the heavens. Some have dubbed it a "celestial cross."

 

What is interesting is that the first time anyone has ever gotten a good, close look at a galactic center, it turns out to hold the sign that is of the greatest possible importance to humanity. In the Latin language, the word "crux" designates the cross. Planet earth came to the crossroads at the foot of the cross. Divine action designated this simple geometric shape as the symbol for decision.

 

The cross is a sign that beams a message of truth into the soul of humanity almost devoid of that commodity. The meaning is as clear as it is convicting. If one has not had an encounter with the cross, one has never dealt with the Truth.

Many refuse to accept that truth, but we are told that one day a "sign" will appear over the earth, signaling that the Lord is coming to make manifest the work that was completed at the cross.

Matthew 24, verses 29 and 30 mention the return of the Lord, preceded by the greatest sign (dealing with the sun, moon and stars) in the history of the planet.
