I agree with you totally! These New versions of the Bible should be avoided at all costs. Believers who long for the true Word of God should read either the Old King James version or the Old Catholic Bibles. There is no sense getting into arguments about Vaticanus, Sinaiticus and Textus Receptus.
These people have perverted the recent bibles with their liberal "New Age" translations in order to sell more books. Their attempts to make Scripture more everyday sounding has dilluted the Word of God.
To Muslims and other pagans seeing this--we are speaking of these variations printed since the later part of the 20th century. Scripture since the 4th century was painstakenly copied via a double and triple checking system by monks up to the late middle ages.
Does anyone have the exact date when these false variations first started appearing?
Did it all begin after 1952 when the Revised Standard Version [RSV] appeared? Prior to this, the KJV was the only Bible version standard for English-speaking Protestant Christianity for nearly 350 years. During this time, any printer who even mispelled a word would have usually thrown out the entire printed batch and suffered a financial loss vs risk having their building burned down for heresy.
