While there is a prohibition on tatoos in Vaikra (Leviticus)it aplies to Jews (see link bellow)

However even though it's not one of the 7 Noahide Laws (which apply to gentiles see http://www.7for70.com) it would seem to me that you still shouldn't put a permanent tatoo for various practical and health reasons among others mentioned in the link below.

I also think that in view of the health issues one shouldn't do it under the Noahide Laws to the effect that one should preserve ones health.

Like the angel told king of Khazars in the dream "your intentions are pleasing before G-d but your actions aren't..." (see http://www.khazaria.com/korobkin.html )

PS. May I sugest get a lapel pin and or bumper sticker mousepad screensaver or the like to express your aligience to G-d in safe and highly visible way.
