For those who have ears to hear, the Bible holds the answer to life and death. According to Scripture, death is a journey either to heaven or to hell. All men have sinned against God and are under His judgment; but Jesus Christ, the only begotten (not made) Son of God, died in the sinner’s place on Calvary. The sinner that repents and puts his Faith and trust in Christ is forgiven and justified before God, but the sinner that dies without a saving relationship with Christ will bear his own punishment for all of eternity in a place the Bible describes as the lake of fire. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
