CAMBODIA - God Uses 'The Heavenly Man'
book to bring Revival in Prison |

4-Sep-06
"The
Heavenly Man' book has now been translated, or is being
translated, into more than 30 languages. It has
continued to humble and amaze Brother Yun and those
involved with the book just how much blessing and
inspiration it has brought to countless Christians, as
well as being the vehicle God uses to save many
unbelievers. We have just received a report from a
missionary living in predominantly-Buddhist Cambodia, in
Southeast Asia. He explains that a Christian, imprisoned
for crimes committed before he came to the Lord,
maximized his time by translating spiritual books into
Khmer, the national language of Cambodia. One of those
he translated was 'The Heavenly Man,' The missionary
wrote, "His recent translation of 'The Heavenly Man'
brought about a great revival in the prison. The inmates
were touched by the book. Some of them said, 'Before we
believed because we wanted to get blessings from God,
but now we follow Jesus wholeheartedly and are ready to
suffer for his sake.' What a wonderful testimony this
is! I believe the book will bring a great revival in
Cambodia." |

The
Heavenly Man is the intensely dramatic story of how God
took a young, half-starved boy from a poor village in
Henan Province and used him mightily to preach the
gospel despite horrific opposition. It's a story
from a Chinese Christian man wanting to recount to the
West the remarkable work of the Holy Spirit in his life
during the Eighties at the birth of the House Church
movement in China.
Brother Yun is one of China's house church leaders, a
man who despite his relative youth has suffered
prolonged torture and imprisonment for his faith. His
account challenges any complacency about the situation
in China, where international economic investment
ignores the brutal fact that religious persecution is
still a daily reality for millions. Instead of focusing
on the many miracles or experiences of suffering,
however, Yun prefers to emphasize the character and
beauty of Jesus.
This astonishing book will form a watershed in your
spiritual life.
