What's gonna happen?
We believe with Jack Van Impe that it is America who will prove to
be the Great Babylon. Signs of this in the Bible is the symbol --
its wings (Eagle), it is beyond the rivers and Great Sea of Ethiopia
(leaves out Iraq and ancient Babylon), it is a land that is measured
and has polluted water. Also, the Bible speaks of the Great Babylon
when it says; "her mother was confounded". Ancient Babylon had a
father (Nimrod), but America does have a "mother" who birthed her
(England). England is today certainly confounded. She was once a
world power--but those days are long gone. Today I read where they
can't make up their mind to go with America on a preemptive strike
against Iraq--even though they know Iraq's next generation of
weapons will be able to reach England --never mind just Israel.
Additionally, Jeremiah says the Great Babylon will be an "end time"
nation, a nation of wealth and it is a land that dwells upon many
waters. The people of this land (Great Babylon) try to "mount up to
heaven" (moon landings, satellite probes, etc). According to John in
revelation the Great Babylon "lives deliciously".
The King of the North (Russia) bears watching. It is making like a
friend to the west while making deals with the muslim arabs
(including Iraq) and aligning with China. China is already pointing
ballistic missiles toward America. A "sneak attack" on modern day
Babylon and Israel is foretold in the Bible (before 2015?). This
could be both a cyberspace attack on our computers and an atomic
attack on our cities. It is only going to end when the Lord
Jesus/Yeshua returns to the Mount of Olives--just as He departed.
We have been for sometime been transforming into a Satanic nation
(since the 1960's). I point to
abortion, idol/pagan worship (Masons,
Satanists,
New Agers, and the millions of muslims and Hindus who are
immigrating here each year), pornography, rampant
homosexuality and its acceptance, violence (increasing) and
profanity of the Lord's name on TV and in the movies, love of money,
and judges pandering to atheists (like no prayer in schools).
I think that 9/11 was allowed by God as a wake up call to America
--to not pressure Israel into giving up its promised land -- and to
take a good look at ourselves. It is no coincidence that "911" is
universally known by most Americans as a symbol of emergency. The
Exxon and other scandals were also no coincidence so late in the
"divine calendar". Our sins have ascended into Heaven. As the Bible
says; "Wo unto us".
Israel the Key to Prophecy
Can God be happy with America's forcing
(threatening to withhold needed arms and money) Israel to give up
pieces of the land promised to the Jews? An obvious solution
to the Palestinian/Israeli problem exists, but Ariel Sharon and
George W. Bush are persisting in going against the "apple of God's
eye" as they weaken Israel and give up land God gave to only the
Jews. The obvious solution? Resettle the Palestinian
squattors to settle all that vacant land in western Jordan. Aren't
most Jordanians Muslems and Palestinians themselves? This
treachery by Bush and Sharon just may prove to be the beginning of
Babylon's (America) downfall.
America was once a beacon to the world of Godliness. We are rapidly
heading in the other direction now.
