The idea of the anti-christ explaining away the dissapearance of the church through incineration of a nuclear war is interesting.
Here's another. One of our greatest national treasures is Yellowstone National Park and its hot springs. For years, we didn't really know what was providing the heat until in the 1980s NASA flew over the national park in a jet equiped with special equipment that could look deep into the earth.
What they discovered was a giant Caldera (chamber of Magma) that is the largest in existence today and the second largest ever recorded or believed to have ever occured.
What in fact was once thought a benevolent area of hotsprings was infact a phenomena known as a "Super Volcano".
Super Volcano's are incredibly large, too large for any mountain and are generally not located under a particular mountain. And underneath Yellow Stone is the largest Super Volcano in existance today and its magma chamber the second largest that many believe has ever existed. Yellowstone will erupt with the power 10 thousand times greater than Mt. St. Helen.
The explosions of Super Volcanos are huge on a collosal scale and are world altering events. The blast can be so intense that many tons of earth can literally be blown into space, the sound of the blast being so loud can be heard all around the earth. The dust and debris kicked out can cover the globe and block out the sun on a global scale for days, weeks, even months.
Find out more on them here...

Imagine what something like this would do our economy. What would happen to the US?
Could this sleeping giant be that which is part of biblical events?
Thoughts?
