Lisa,

I understand your concern for your children. I have children too.All of my children are almost grown, thank goodness!! ; ^ ). Regrettably, my two sons aren't living for the Lord though. Will they turn against me if the Lord comes back while we are all still alive? The scenarios one can play out in our mind is endless if you start down that road, while loosing focus of the road we're on now.I refuse to let myself get caught up in the "world's ending" mindset. There's always hope that a great Christian revival will spread through out the world. That's the only way that the clockhand of Armaggedon will be slowed. In the mean time, all any of us can do is prepare ourselves, and our loved ones. We do that by obeying God's commandments, and placing our faith in the blood that Jesus shed for our sins at Calvary.

It was no big surprise to me that a fellow brother in Christ has a different interpetation of the "Rapture," than my own. IMO the scripture I referred to in my original post on the subject is very clear, but I certainly respect the viewpoints of others. To me, an open dialogue concerning this topic is much more empowering than falling back to the quagmire trenches of "is not," "is too" debate.

Besides the scr1pture I referred to, it makes no sense to me that we as God's people should think that we're not going to have to go through this raging turmoil if we're still alive when Christ comes back for us. Why were all our preceeding brothers and sisters in Christ allowed to be burned in Nero's gardens, or torn to pieces as the crowds screamed with delight at the coliseum? Were they not "trapped" in this world of sin just as we are? Why didn't God just "Rapture" them up? The only safety we have in this world is through our salvation in Jesus Christ.

Jesus told us in the book of Matthew, if you follow in his ways, obey God's commandments, and are saved in the blood of Christ, you are safe no matter how the "rapture" occurs.

God bless!!
